SRI is a modern 'Shikshaspeeth' of its own kind, located in Datia, the sacred shelter of Goddess Pitambra Devi. Datia is close to the historical city of Jhansi, and is a fascinating place with a unique mix of a rich tradition of education and culture known as 'Shaktipeeth'. This place is fast becoming an advance centre for learning with the emergence of SRI.
Situated on running national highway which is due to be converted into a 4 lane, SRI is 2 km away from Datia railway station, 25 km from Jhansi (UP) and 75 km from Gwalior (MP) which gives it a great connectivity by road. Nearest Airport is Gwalior . There are Hotels / Lodges and Dharamshalas in the city to stay at the distance of 1-2 km .

SRITS is located on a vast landscape of about 100 acres with two blocks of 75000 sq. ft. each. The academic infrastructure and facility are all as per the AICTE specifications only on increased and larger dimensions. The institute has large class rooms varying from 1,000 to 2,000 sq.ft. and laboratories of 1,000 sq.ft.
